"So the holidays are over and the kids are back to their uniforms and the ways of school life. That doesn’t mean its all doom and gloom! Here on 106.7FM we’re having a Back To School party at the end of the month, so long as that rain doesn’t turn too heavy.”

Below are FAQs for TCII specifically. _tc has it’s own set of FAQs that may still apply here, so be sure to read up on those too.
for members x characters x about the schools
Huh? TCII was made as an add-on, an expansion pack, to _tc. All it is is a more developed RP opportunity for the students of _tc.
But there‘s no rules!? Yes there are. See the link on the left? Click it. The same rules apply for _tc as they do TCII.
Do I have to play on _tc then? Not necessarily. Your application, claims, etc. will always be on _tc’s main site (which is why we’ve linked them all for easy access in the table on the left) but you are not required to RP there if you don’t want to. You can make a character specifically for tcedu if you want, even, but you have to go through the application process on the main site. All threads that would begin (or you know they’re going to end in a university or school) but involve other parts of the _tc world are welcomed to be played out on either site, but we’d recommend using this one. It just keeps things cleaner. For totally off-campus threads we recommend using _tc’s main site, since that details the rest of the city and town more than we do here. It’s entirely up to you though, so don’t feel pressured. We’re just trying to make life simpler for you guys!
What kind of characters are accepted here? Obviously, only students, professors and perhaps guardians of the younger students are meant to be here. We don’t want entire families for some final year uni student running around on campus, do we? Put it this way; if they wouldn’t be found in one of the schools on a regular basis, they wont be allowed here.
Why wasn’t my account accepted? Well, to prevent the above mentioned from happening, we aren’t allowing just anyone from joining up. Guests can post in a few of the boards at the top of the forum, but until your application has been accepted on the main site you wont be approved here. Its up to you whether or not you want to make an account and have it lingering patiently or not.
Does my character have to live on campus? Nope. You don’t have to use any of the accommodation boards if you don’t want to. Many students are day students and wont live on campus. If you do live at home, you will still be accepted, so don’t worry; you can still RP wherever you want. Even the IBS only has about half of its students boarding, so its entirely a personal choice.
Where do they eat?! University… there are cafes, bars and restaurants of every taste and size spotted on every campus. We didn’t make any boards for them because they’d clutter up the place. It’s like bathrooms or common classrooms; they’re there, but special boards aren’t needed. If you want to RP in a setting like that that doesn’t have a particular place, just pick a building or department you’d want to find a café in and post away.
So what can I study? Whatever you want. If the campus that would host your chosen course doesn’t jump out at you, then PM a staff member and ask them. Provence is art/design/photography/music/drama/dance/etc. U.Med. is science/sports/health/medicine/pharmacy/dentistry/ engineering/mechanics/etc. UPC is law/humanities/languages/literature/politics/religion/philosophy/history/etc. Remember though that in France you pick one course (say Art) and that’s it. There are no majors/minors, and under that one course you’d cover all the subjects (like history, drawing, paint classes, colour theory, etc etc). The only exceptions are where every cours allows you to study a science or maths as an aside.
Can my Provence student go play in UPC‘s garden? Yus. The universities are collectively know as the Aix-Marseille Universities. For real. Provence is actually ‘Aix-Marseille I‘, for example. So students from other campuses are welcomed to use the other schools’ facilities. A law student from UPC can use the dance studios at Provence, and a music major from Provence would be allowed to use the gym at U.Med. Get it?
So where are the schools? They’re all in Marseille. Provence is in the inner city. U.Med. is on the outskirts and on the coast (obviously? Clue is in the name.) And UPC is on the other end of the city, towards the rest of France. They’re all within a short drive or decent walk from each other. IBS is a little further out of town, buried deep in the countryside, mountains and forest, and can be reached by bus from Marseille centre in about 15 minutes and the beach in 5 minutes.
Are there places to ‘play‘? Places that are special to specific universities? Yup, and they’re not really specific boards either. I wanted them to be as adaptable as possible… Provence has the entire city of Marseille as its playground. Step out of the doors and you’re there. U.Med has, naturally, the beach. Some of it’s buildings and grounds back onto the cliff tops. Yup. That’s how close it is. UPC has the French countryside, if you so wish, and its beautiful gardens too. Like the cafés and bars, make them up as you go along if you can find somewhere specific!
What does IBS stand for? International Bilingual School. It means that most classes are taught in English!
Do they wear a uniform? The universities obviously don’t, but the IBS does. In classrooms or on special occasions where you have to represent the school, they have a standard uniform. Both sexes have to wear white shirt, scarlet red tie, black sweater and/or black blazer, black trousers, black shoes, black socks. The girls do have the option to wear a skirt instead of the trousers, and some of the more lenient professors will allow non-black socks to be worn. Outside the classroom though the only dress code is that they actually do wear clothes… you’d be surprised.
